This was a really fun illustration that was commissioned by the good folks at the Free Lance Star in Fredericksburg, Virginia.It accompanied a feature story by Paul Akers who spent this past summer visiting several minor league baseball parks, "His aims were to find out what benefits minor league and independent-league baseball bring to a community, and how team baseball above the local-player level is begun, operated, and sustained".
Thanks to Paul Akers for his direction and enthusiasm on this page. Paul made this a very fun assignment indeed.
