Domestic Abuse Video

I've done literally thousands of Illustrations over the years and have had every kind of reaction imaginable.

No illustrations have had a stronger reaction then those on the subject of domestic abuse. They've been featured in art shows, fund raisers, hung in women's shelters, used in literature and lectures to educate women from all over the world on how to escape an abusive relationship. The video featured below was even part of a German sculpture on the subject of abuse.

It fills my heart to know these Illustrations have had such a strong impact on women who have endured, and in some cases continue to endure, violence at the hands of their partners. It's my hope these pieces inspire them to seek the help they need to escape the cycle of violence they find themselves in.

I have no greater respect then I do for the many people on this planet who make it their life's work to assist others who suffer. That includes the many people who work daily to end domestic abuse.

Brussels Breakthroughs and Bailouts

EU leaders have reached an agreement on a permanent crisis fund that will swing into action in 2013.

Hanging over the talks was a large dark cloud called Portugal who will likely require a bailout sooner rather then later. Portugal's Prime Minister has resigned as he was unable to pass the fourth austerity package in the past year.

Obama's Aim

Obama is catching in from all sides with his handling of the conflict in Libya. What's his objectives? What will be the cost? Will Gadhafi be removed? Yikes!

Here's today's Illustration showing Obama's somewhat unclear aim.

Food Fears in Japan

More bad news for the people of Japan as they face yet another dangerous problem. The Japanese government's list of foods believed to contain dangerous levels of radiation continues to grow.

On top of that concerns about the safety of water are being looked at also.

Today I did this Illustration on the subject.

High Country News Cover

This is a cover I did recently for a publication in Colorado called High Country News. HCN is sharp looking and very well written.

This particular piece is about transmission lines from wind turbines stretching across some very beautiful vistas. The landowners are not happy campers. Great article.

I've worked on several issues with HNC and they're an absolute pleasure to work with.

I had a strong suspicion Gadhafi would not go quietly. Tony Montana and the final scene of the movie Scarface comes to mind for some reason. Yikes!

Japan's Sorrow

My thoughts and prayers are with the people of Japan in this time of great sorrow and increasing anxiety as it seems to becoming more likely that they will be subject to radiation leaking from it's damages nuclear facility.

Please give generously in the relief effort.
